So.. as promised but just a lil later then I planned.. here's a journal about how our family get together after years of not seeing each other was
As I didnt see dad or Cath for abt 6 years, mom was here last year.. we were all VERY excited for this vacation.. as you can imagine. We have been counting the months, weeks and then days, yes even the hours.. Warren and I picked them up at Pittsburgh, we almost didnt make it on time cos of an accident on the road but we were there JUST in time Boy did they look good after so long
After a longggg drive home.. 2 much traffic on the road. we finally arrived home.. first thing Cath said: "Gawd what a noise!" If you wonder what she heard.. stand out in the country and listen.. to frogs and crickets! Thats what she heard.. That's what ya get for living in a 'big' city sis! ya don't recognise sounds of nature anymore. Mom looked as if she was home again.. so sweet, and dad.. he was amazed by the nature around him.
Every morning(almost) i made the coffee and Jr (as Cath is loving called/named by Warren)was the one to pour us a fres brew.. Having breakfast together, drinking coffee together, playing cards.. just being together.. it was soooooo good
Every morning dad was sitting on the front porch, just looking outside sucking up all he saw and heard He wouldnt mind staying and living here.. as would Cath and mom
On wednesday my brother came by.. he was on vacation in America as well, with his wife.. mom knew he was coming but we didnt! Rob, my brother told mom NOT to tell anybody! I was in shock when I saw him haha I saw the car driving up our road and slow down as I was sitting on the porch. I went like: HUH? Rob? Nah!, can't be.. but is is him.. is it? yes! no!.. Yes it is! Somehow the brain saw it but didn't register it because I was soooo not expecting him. It was a grrrrreat get together and the 2 weeks went by WAY to fast! But with new and precious memories we said goodbye after 2 weeks. Sad and happy do mix.. We're all hoping to see each other again next year.
